Piranha SC attending Kilkenny Spring Invitational Gala, Saturday 31st March 2018

Hi Everyone

The PiranhaSC will be attending the forthcoming Kilkenny Spring Invitational Gala, on Saturday 31st March 2018,

The online entry form for the gala will be sent out to the mailing list over the next few days.

Venue: The Watershed, Bohernatounish Road, Kilkenny,

Date: Saturday 31st March 2018

Closing Date for Entries: Friday 16th March 2018

Entry Fee: €6 per event

Mixed relay entries are welcomed at no charge.

Events will be heat declared winners.

The fastest 6 swimmers of male and female from the 100-metre IM will be offered the chance to compete for a cash prize in the 50-metre open medley ‘skins’ during the competition. Untaken places will be offered to the next fastest swimmer until 6 lanes are filled at the start.

Swimmers may only swim in their own age group.

SESSION: WARM-UP 4:00PM

START 5:00PM

RULES: The GALA will be run as a SWIM IRELAND Designated Gala,

and under SWIM IRELAND rules. One Start rule will apply

throughout. NOT ELECTRONIC TIMED

MEDALS: Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each event.

PRIZES: A cash prize will be awarded to the winner, male and female of the final skins event.

AGE GROUPS: 11 & Under, 12/13, 14/15, 16 & Over

(Age will be as of 31st December 2018)

Note: As per new SI regulations swimmers under the age of 9 as at 31/12/18 will not be eligible.
